The Flying Sequence

What you see in the image above are 31 drawings of the flying sequence of the Dodo Bird. At the time I took the picture it was still very much of a work in progress that required more fine tuning, erasing, additional drawings, and cut drawings as well. The first row deals with anticipation. The second row of drawings involved squash and stretch. And the last row in particular was influenced by photographer George Muybridge’s bird pictures.
